Yoga is the perfect complement to all your daily movements and active pursuits and 1800 FIT’s programs allow anyone and everyone to nourish their mind, body and spirit. Whether you want to deepen your practice, or try yoga for the first time, you are invited to come experience the benefits of this ancient art by experiencing one or all of our classes or private sessions.
Private sessions can include various styles to meet your demands Gentle Yoga (restorative, therapeutic), Hatha Yoga (strength, flexibility), and Ashtanga-Vinyasa Yoga (athletic, strength-base).
Yoga originated over two thousand years ago as a way to still the mind, calm emotions, heal the body, and achieve physical longevity. The combination of breath and movement in yoga relieves stress and assists in relaxation, the body’s first step toward optimum health. Through yoga, athletic performance is enhanced, mental clarity is developed, concentration is improved, and the peace experienced in class begins to appear in everyday life. Yoga is for everyone regardless of fitness level, age, or experience.
This class is an integration of Yoga, Pilates and Core Connect. We core-consciously flow through full-body sequences to strengthen the mind and body. Exercises may include the use of Pilate equipment to further enhance strength and flexibility.
This class integrates classical and modern Pilate movements and sequences while providing variations to intensify/modify movements, ensures alignment and stengthens the core safely and efficiently. Work from the floor to standing sequences to ensure the three C's:core, coordination and control.
The word Vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement.” Often called “flow yoga,” Vinyasa is a form of yoga that incorporates steady breath along with each movement. Rather than holding a pose for a specified length of time, Vinyasa is focused on moving from one pose to the next while using breath control. Ashtanga yoga focuses on alignment through a progression of series or sequences. These classes combine Vinyasa and Ashtanga styles and can be tailored to specific needs, but are typically done at a slightly elevated pace compared with our Hatha Yoga and Gentle Yoga classes.
Pairing physical movement with breath, each well-rounded class begins with guided breathing followed by a general warm-up and targeted peak reached through a combination of flow, statically held poses, and balance work. The hour closes with stretching and rest. Your mind and body will benefit from the overall conditioning, and focus on core power, posture and flexibility, in this light Vinyasa-Hatha class accessible to the beginner and experienced practitioner.
A challenging and effective class that hits deep into the core. This class blends the principles of Pilates, Yoga, traditional core work and breath.
Are you up for the challenge? Get ready to sweat in this cross training class. This cardio and interval program will push you to the max on and off the bike. Intense hills and flats, total body exercises, heart thumping music and motivational instruction. P.X.T. system component.
Metabolic conditioning: High intensity intervals of cardio for power and endurance utilizing sports specific drills, body weight exercises, plyometrics, kettle bells and cardio equipment. P.X.T. system component.
Mobility, roll and stretch: Take out the kinks, limber up and improve range of motion and flexibility in this 30 minute class combining mobility techniques, foam rolling and classic stretching. P.X.T. system component.
Performance X Training: 1800 FIT’s singular Cross Training class incorporating all the components of the P.X.T. system. If you do just one class, this is the one.

1800 FIT’s personal trainers and instructors specialize in a comprehensive approach to fitness training called Performance X Training or P.X.T. that incorporates strength and conditioning exercises for how you move, work, and play every day. Our system of training methods integrates individualized functional movements with essential fitness components to form a comprehensive exercise program that includes: metabolic conditioning, strength training, power development, skill development, mobility/flexibility, balance, and neuromuscular control (coordination).

Our system emphasizes core stability, building a foundation on hip and abdominal strength, which supports proper body movement and stabilizes the spine. We often begin with a postural analysis then progress by using the body's own weight in exercises until we are sure of a client's core strength
Most traditional exercise machines work muscles in only a singular plane. Real life takes place in three planes. Our exercises integrate the three planes of motion: front and back, side-to-side, and twisting, preparing the participant for the true demands of any physical activity — thus reducing the chance for injury. The Performance X Training system uses conditioning techniques that take into account the ways you actually move in respect to your daily and sport activities
The Performance X Training system can be tailored to your busy schedule, specific physical demands, the athletic activities you enjoy, or to alleviate pain and disability thereby enhancing your health and wellbeing while helping prevent injuries. The Performance X Training system is based on principles of biomechanics that concentrate on the body's natural motion. Each person has his or her own natural motions.
The Performance X Training system also emphasizes balance, coordination and body awareness in everyday activities in a way that traditional resistance training does not. Rather than focusing on isolated muscles, our approach uses multi-plane, multidirectional exercises that challenge and improve balance and coordination. This reduces the potential for injury and allows the body to move more efficiently, with less effort.
